Reflection Statement:
My intentions were the visually communicate the masks and how to relate to their figure. I wanted to focus on making the colors match what the behind the scenes meaning is. I chose certain masks to resemble property and war. These two different ideas were made individually and yet harmonically. I want to keep exploring with the masks, as I think it will be a great artistic study to do using sculpture.

Research:

Website explaining the masks.
This website had the perfect amount of information I needed to to better understand my knowledge of these Japanese masks.

Website describing the meaning of a koi fish.
This site had more information on the other symbols I chose to use for my Foxxy Lady sculpture, which were the koi fish.

Website explaining the meaning of colors.
I wanted my colors to convey an even deeper meaning so I chose the colors for the sculptures very carefully with the help of this site.
