Momento

Walk With Us,

colored ink, gel medium, wood,

3" x 3" x 1/4"

Artist Statement:
This sculpture reflects the time that I spent with my friends on the beach late at night. I remember this so vividly because it was the first time that I had a group of friends that I got along with and had common likes and interests with. I used a piece of wood to represent the sand at the beach. Then I chose, very carefully, monochromatic color palette to represent the ocean. Then I created these seashell looking abstract foot prints, to represent the path that we would walk on the beach. I believe that I have visually communicated unity and balance in this piece with the color and the abstract pieces that I put on this piece.
